Being in great haste regarding the release of this CD I can not really remember how I came to the idea of playing Slovenian pop songs for the thumbpicking guitar. I do remember, however, the enthusiasm on my friend's face when he heard my version of "Mini maxi", which was the first one in a row.

There isn't a lot I can say about monochrome times considering my age, but my love and my respect of the musical heritage, the works of the Slovenian great composers of that era, are immense. Each song has been undertaken with a different approach, yet I have always tried to keep recognition of each song, and if possible tried to - because of restrictions of an instrument as it is - retain its original key. Along the flood of music products which is marked by the computer - internet era, I respectively add the present product. In memory. To all who with a smile on their face or a tear in their eye remember a special moment. From monochrome times, indeed.
